Xebec Government Services, LLC (Xebec), a Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture (JV) between Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. and CAE USA, was awarded the Aircrew Trainer Install Contract (ATIC) for the assembly, installation, and functional evaluation of the MH-60R Naval Aircrewmen Training Systems (NATS), at North Island Naval Station, CA and MH-60S Aircrew Virtual Environment Trainer (AVET), at Norfolk Naval Station, VA.  The ATIC task order was awarded as part of the U.S. Navy’s Training Systems Contract IV (TSC IV) Multi-Award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract vehicle.

The NATS and AVET are motion-based simulators capable of training up to three aircrewmen simultaneously in aerial gunnery and rescue hoist operation, as well as search and rescue and vertical replenishment procedures. The NATS and AVET will provide the capabilities required to train individual and collective crew tasks.  The core capabilities will include support to Fleet Readiness Squadron (FRS) and post-FRS aircrewmen training, aircrew combat training requirements for the MH-60R and MH-60S aircraft. The NATS and AVET will primarily support training for door gunner skill acquisition, target engagement, and crew coordination during weapon related evolutions and visual threat recognition and avoidance training.

The Xebec JV offers a highly qualified systems, hardware, and software engineering team to provide a low-risk solution for a broad range of large and small simulation and training contracts.

“The net result of our combined capabilities is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business joint venture with the technical breadth and depth of a large aerospace company, allied with the technical innovation, flexibility, agility, and competitiveness of a small competency based, high tech entity,” said Tina Tucker, Pinnacle’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are confident Xebec is the optimal small business for this new task order under the US Navy’s Training Systems Contract IV (TSC IV)”.
