H-60 Black Hawk VMT

The Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) is a sophisticated, computer-based training device that may be used for aircraft systems, subsystems, and component familiarization as well as fault identification, isolation, and remediation. The VMT makes use of a high-fidelity virtual model of an aircraft or vehicle to deliver comprehensive qualification training to new maintainers or sustainment training to experienced users.

  • Includes a total of 163 Lessons referencing 91 Work Packages

  • Includes 12 Lessons with fault insertion/troubleshooting

  • The VMT lesson tasks support selected aircraft components that students must be able to remove and install in accordance with the applicable technical manuals; with several lessons allowing troubleshooting of critical tasks
  • Task selection was based on the U.S. Army-approved Critical Task List, task complexity, and high learning value for systems that are prone to damage during hands-on training

  • Includes a total of 208 Lessons referencing 103 Work Packages

  • Includes a total of 14 Introductory Lessons used for system familiarization
