AH-64 VMT

The Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) is a sophisticated, computer-based training device that may be used for aircraft systems, subsystems, and component familiarization as well as fault identification, isolation, and remediation. The VMT makes use of a high-fidelity virtual model of an aircraft or vehicle to deliver comprehensive qualification training to new maintainers or sustainment training to experienced users.

  • Currently in development

  • The development plan estimate for Initial Operational Capability (IOC) AH-64 VMT will include lessons to support introduction, servicing, removal, installation, and inspection tasks that students must be able to complete in accordance with the applicable technical manuals. Completion of the IOC development is scheduled for June 2023.

  • Our AH-64 Subject Matter Expert (SME) selected the most relevant introductory, general maintenance, and emergency procedures using OEM issued technical manuals
