Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. (Pinnacle) was awarded a delivery order under the Computer Based Instructional Design (CBID) II Contract for the development of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Regulatory Development Program (RDP) Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) as well as revisions to the existing Standardized curriculum IMI for the Regulatory Program delivered by Pinnacle in November 2019.

The USACE’s RDP is committed to protecting the Nation’s aquatic resources and navigation capacity while allowing reasonable development through fair and balanced decisions. Time, changing public needs, evolving policy, case law, and new statutory mandates have changed the complexion of the program, adding to its breadth, complexity, and authority.  The Course Instruction developed by Pinnacle supports USACE’s commitment to bringing this training program up to date and keeping it current.

The RDP training is designed to sustain the skills learned in the Regulatory Program (RP) and provides a more in-depth understanding of the regulations, laws, concepts, and skills that will be implemented in RDP projects. The RDP also provides training that expands upon the entry-level information for more experienced team members who are pursuing positions as project managers, Subject Matter Experts, and potential supervisory leadership positions. This more advanced RDP training builds upon base-knowledge modules and expands upon the concepts with problematic and complex scenarios.

Over the next 18 months, Pinnacle will develop a total of 34 hours of new and revised Level 2 and Level 3 IMI, with the web-based course version hosted on the Enterprise Lifelong Learning Center (ELLC) and also as a standalone course available on DVDs.

Pinnacle Solutions was awarded the CBID II Contract from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in May 2017. PEO STRI’s customers can order training services and products related to computer-based training using this contract vehicle through 2022.
