Chris Shearer after successfully completing the Olympic Triathlon in Louisville, KY on June 9th.
Triathlons have become a new passion for me. With two Sprint triathlons under my belt, I figured I would up my game and attempt an Olympic. Olympic triathlons are the logical next step after you’ve gotten your feet wet with a sprint triathlon. The distances essentially double — an Olympic-distance triathlon includes a 0.93-mile (1.5K) swim, a 24.8-mile (40K) bike and a 6.2-mile (10K) run. During this year’s Tri Louisville, the open water swimming in the Ohio river was not fun, but the rest went better than I planned. My goal was to complete it and that I did!
Congrats Chris on completing another Summit Challenge!
