Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. (Pinnacle) was awarded a second Construction Equipment Virtual Trainer
(CEVT) Courseware Delivery Order (DO) under the Computer Based Instructional Design (CBID) II
Contract from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation
(PEO STRI). Since May 2017, PEO STRI’s customers have been ordering training services and
products related to computer-based training from Pinnacle, the single awardee on this contract,
and this new DO will focus on developing new video content and revisions to the existing CEVT
Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) for Manager Construction Equipment and Material
Handling Equipment (PdM CE&MHE).
The IMI on the CEVT is developed to train Soldiers upon initial entry and transition, and then provide
the CEVT for sustainment training in the field. The courseware supports initial and sustainment
training, as well as refresher training at home station and in the field. The new video content is a
follow-on task for the Hydraulic Excavator (HYEX) to complement the initial video courseware
delivered in April of 2020. After usage of the IMI product, the team identified the need for new
instruction for the IMI courseware, new video content, and updates to the existing CEVT IMI
courseware developed under the first DO for the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE).
Instruction will be presented at interactivity Level 2 as stated in TRADOC PAM 350-70-12.
