On May 13, 2016 Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. was awarded the KC-10 Training System (TS) Boom Operator Trainer (BOT) Visual System Replacement (VSR).  The BOT VSR is an option of the KC-10 TS base contract with a period of performance through March of 2018.  The total option value is approximately $2M.  FlightSafety Services Corporation (FSSC) and Q4 are the major subcontractors for the BOT VSR.

The purpose of this effort is to provide a replacement visual system for each of the KC-10 BOTs (one at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA and one at Joint-Base, McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst) to comply with the Air Refueling Airplane Simulator Qualification Standards (ARASQ), Revision C, Level 2, Visual Systems standards.  The new visual system will be capable of supporting all of the following attributes of the current visual system:

  • Receiver Aircraft Models
  • Visual Databases
  • Visual Affects
  • Training Scenarios

New functionality will include a BOT auto-test system capable of meeting the requirements of ARASQ Revision C, Level 2 for Visual Systems and Level 1 for all other areas.
