Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. was awarded the KC-10 Training System (TS) Aircrew Training Device (ATD) Host Computer Replacement (Rehost). The ATD Rehost is an option of the KC-10 TS base contract with a period of performance through March of 2019. The total option value is approximately $10M. CymSTAR LLC is the major subcontractor for the ATD Rehost.
The purpose of this effort is to replace the current host computer systems and sub-systems interfaces, as well as the Instructor Operator Station (IOS) computers, with a common standard Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solution for all of the KC-10 TS ATDs at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA and Joint-Base, McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. These devices include –
- Weapons Systems Trainers (Quantity 4)
- Flight Training Devices (Quantity 2)
- Boom Operator Trainers (Quantity 2)
The KC-10 ATD Rehost will improve the maintainability of the training devices, as well as increase the number of hours each device can be used for training each day.
